LAW ENFORCEMENT WEEPS AND MOURNS
THE PRESIDENT IS SILENT
BEYONCE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SILENT
THE “CIDES” ARE KILLING OUR BROTHERS AND SISTERS. HOMICIDE AND SUICIDE.
It almost seems like a daily occurrence. Facebook posts – OFFICER DOWN. Between Officers shot or stabbed, feloniously assaulted, and those Brothers and Sisters who made the ultimate sacrifice, it has been a violent time against our nations finest. On February 10, 2016 we lost FOUR in that one day, and TWO more in February 11, 2016. In a span of just 7 days we lost 7 Officers. Six of those deaths were by gunfire. In January we lost THREE other officers, TWO by gunfire, one through an accident. (ODMP.ORG).
In January we lost SEVEN K-9 Officers. FOUR by gunfire, one stabbed, and two by vehicle.
THE WHITE HOUSE PODIUM IS EMPTY. NO PRESS CONFERENCE.
If a criminal is killed by an Officer, the media pounces, activists protest, and the White House pontificates, speculates, and exacerbates.
TEN OFFICERS DEAD, EIGHT K-9 OFFICERS DEAD, AND THE PRESIDENT IS SILENT.
SINCE JANUARY 1 WE HAVE LOST 11 OFFICERS AND 8 K-9 OFFICERS. NO COMMENT FROM THE WHITE HOUSE. THE MOST RECENT DEATH WAS TODAY. THIS DOES NOT INCLUDE THE MANY ASSAULTS WITH GUNS, KNIVES, AND VEHICLES.
It has been encouraging to hear Chris Christie and Donald Trump talk about the importance of supporting and protecting law enforcement. But we have all seen politicians pontificate and never facilitate.
President Obama and Eric Holder clearly demonstrated their disdain and animus for our nation’s finest. From false accusations proven false to efforts to strip officers of power and protection, this administration has proven antagonistic against the very fabric of our heroes that keep our communities, cities, states, and nation safe.
Equally damning was the disgusting performance of Beyoncé at the Super Bowl. Her song Formation is anti-police, and her entourage dressed like Black Panthers to celebrate the founding of that racist activist group caused much anger in law enforcement.
But did it do more? Black Panthers have openly called for the murder of police. Likewise blacklivesmatter and Louis Farrakhan have called for followers to rise up and kill police.
Did Beyoncé strike the match for the police murders the week following the Super Bowl? Is there a direct causal link? Did she inspire the violence or through her song offer a tacit endorsement of the violence? Beyoncé will not care – ’cause she got her money to perform that song with those costumes – escorted to the performance by – police. The NFL does not care, and evidently, the media and White House choose silence.
The same week as the deaths – BOTH BERNIE SANDERS AND HILLARY CLINTON ATTACKED POLICE IN THEIR “DEBATE.” They promised to reel in those mean police who arrest and shoot the criminal sons of weeping mothers.
ADD TO THE FELONIOUS DEATHS ANOTHER CRISIS –
In Canada alone – 4 Officers committed suicide in January – as did 4 EMT’s.
I know of 4 police suicides in the U.S. since January. There may be others that are unreported by their agency – as if 4 are not enough.
EMOTIONALWOUNDS CAUSED BY THE JOB, WITNESSING CUMULATIVE TRAUMATIC EVENTS OVER TIME, CAN RESULT IN PTSD SYMPTOMS – AND INDEED CAN BE JUST AS DEADLY AS ANY ARMED CRIMINAL.
